Prof. Kamrul Hossain talked at the conference “Polar Dialogue”!
A two-day event organized jointly by the National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS) and the Ministry of External Affairs of India brought together public policy experts, diplomats, government officials, and academic scholars to engage in an in-depth discussion and foster innovative strategies for enhancing India’s collaboration and influence in Arctic and Polar affairs. Prof. Kamrul Hossain spoke at the event as an invited expert. The dialogue was highly insightful and enriching, featuring thought-provoking discussions and presentations from renowned panel members. While the event featured experts from various Arctic and Polar affairs topics, Prof. Hossain outlined the international framework applicable to overall Arctic governance, particularly highlighting challenges in marine management. The event was followed by the release of the Indo-Arctic report and the inauguration of the Young Scholars' Poster Workshop on Polar Regions, offering a comprehensive overview of the Arctic and Antarctic regions and shedding light on the pressing issue of climate change.
