The RIAC has interviewed Professor Kamrul Hossain on the topical issues of the Arctic!
The Russian
International Affairs Council (RIAC) has recently interviewed Professor Kamrul
Hossain, the Northern Institute for Environmental and Minority Law Director at
the University of Lapland. The interview was a part of the “International Law
in Action” series that Council has recently initiated. The RIAC is a non-profit
academic and diplomatic think tank Institution in Russia. The RIAC aims to
strengthen peace, friendship, and solidarity between peoples, prevent
international conflicts, and promote conflict resolution and crisis settlement.
As it operates as a link between state and scholarly community, business, and
civil society to find foreign policy solutions to complex conflict issues, in
its recent interview with Prof. Hossain, the RIAC has discussed on the topical
issues of the Arctic problems, its legal domain, and the environmental issues,
and militarization in the Arctic. Yana Ovsyannikova from the RIAC has conducted
the interview, which can be found from the following link: https://russiancouncil.ru/en/analytics-and-comments/interview/the-arctic-is-a-complex-region-which-cannot-be-designated-with-a-single-status/
